The Finest Precision Scale Hardwood for Hobbyists, Architects and the Model Industry since 1946!
Northeastern Scale Lumber was founded in 1946 with a simple philosophy: to provide the finest model building materials possible.
Our founder, the late James Doyle was an avid model builder who started designing model kits and cutting wood shapes for himself and others when he found they weren't available anywhere else. His talent for precision woodworking was truly a gift. In many instances, out of frustration for product, Jim had to literally invent the machinery to cut wood to his exact requirements. As a reminder to us all, Jim's original drafting table still stands, a tribute to his superb design talent.
And now, several decades later, Northeastern Scale Lumber refuses to compromise the philosophy and tradition first started by Jim Doyle. All manufactured products by Northeastern Scale Lumber are built with the same quality, dependability and integrity, just as they were made back in 1946.
